Corruption rules the roost in BMC

Tiger roars yet again in the BMC polls and congratulations to Uddhav Thackeray and Shiv Sena for being the largest party in the BMC polls. One kettle calling the other black cost BJP the polls and people living in glass houses should never throw stones at others. Corruption rules roost at the civic body but people who made these allegations should have seen their credentials as well and people vote on local issues which affect their civic lives in BMC polls than on larger issues like corruption, development and progress.

Bal Thackeray is no more but his charisma still works in the city. Shiv Sena has a loyal vote bank and the ‘marathi manus tadka’ still is visible in local body elections. Now that the elections are over and results declared, elected members irrespective of the party they belong should forget their enmity and come together to work for the development of the city which is what democracy means and stands for. BMC is the richest Corporation in our country with an annual budget of 37000 crores and let us all hope that is optimally spent for the betterment of the city!
