According to sources, the chargesheet is likely to include SMSes and emails sent by Pachauri. The chargesheet will also include the statements of over 25 witnesses which would be submitted in the court next week.

The chargesheet is likely to include SMSes and emails purportedly sent by him, say sources.

The 500 page chargesheet has been drafted by thecops had gathered statements of 25 key witnesses in the high-profile scandal.

The cops who had drafted the chargesheet had come to a conclusion that Pachauri had ‘committed the crime’. There are chances that Pachauri who had won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 will be arrested by Delhi police after the chargesheet is submitted.

In February last year, a 29-year-old research assistant working at non-profit think tank TERI or The Energy Research Institute accused Dr Pachauri of sexual harassment.  Subsequently the TERI Board announced that Dr Ajay Mathur would be the new Director General replacing Dr Pachauri.
But in a surprise announcement, the TERI board also appointed Dr Pachauri as Executive Vice Chairman leading to protests from women’s rights groups and TERI university students.

Trouble mounted for the 75-year-old world renowned scientist, who was already embroiled a legal battle over allegations of sexual harassment, when another woman, a former employee of TERI, came out in public and made similar allegations against him.
