The Pharmaceutical Companies shall have to certify the effectiveness of the medicine before putting them up for sale in the markets. This proposal has been put forward by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation. This has to be put into practice at the earliest. The medicines on sale in the markets, many a times do not prove to be true to their claims on examination. This is detrimental to the patient. In spite of spending so much money and time he never knows how long it will take for the medicine to prove effective. Along with the waste of money, taking of antibiotics is also detrimental to the patient’s health. The medicines are purchased because of the reputation of the Pharmaceutical Company. The Companies should be true to their customers’ faith. This is a big responsibility for these companies.
