Our firemen and policemen will become strong and healthy if they can consume fruits and vegetables at cheaper rates. How can we eat blackberry when it costs Rs 80 for 250 gm and “litchi” Rs 400 per kg. In Singapore, the Chinese “litchi” costs five Singapore dollars per kg and it is likely to be cheaper in Myanmar. Burmese girls are very simple, beautiful and hard working and apply sandalwood paste on their foreheads and cheeks. Through these columns, I want to request Prime Minister Narendra Modi to open up trade with Myanmar so that we can procure fruits, vegetables and pulses at cheap rates.

However, if the same test is conducted on the policemen, firemen and BMC personnel you will notice that most of them are overweight and have high blood pressure. Very few of them will be six feet tall and well built. This is because they are unable to have nutritious food.
I have pleaded a number of times that the efforts of the governments must be concentrated on providing clean drinking water to our citizens and cattle. Without this we cannot qualify to be called as a developed nation. The health of our citizens is deteriorating.
