“Wealth comes with huge responsibility and is best deployed for the larger public interest,” said Infosys founder Nandan Nilekeni and his golden words are so very true. He is My Hero and I truly salute him and his wife Rohini for pledging to donate 50 per cent of their wealth which at today’s net worth is a staggering 1.7 billion dollars to a movement initiated by the great Bill Gates and wife Melinda. One respects people’s wealth as it takes lot of efforts and hard work to earn that money. However, helping the poor and the needy is the greatest prayers we offer to the Almighty and Nandan and his better half have opened the ‘Gates’ for more philanthropic work which fellow citizens would emulate this great human being called Nandan.
Celebrities and wealthy like Tendulkar, business houses like the Birlas and others should do likewise so that humanity survives and India prospers in the years to come!
