Sacked AAP leader Kapil Mishra was created a scene outside the Delhi CM’s residence when he was not allowed to meet Arvind Kejriwal at the Janta Darbar on Friday. He and his supporters were stopped 150 metres before the CM’s residence by the police, after which they started protesting.

Mishra, who has accused Kejriwal of corruption, and dead Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Santosh Koli’s mother reached Kejriwal’s residence to meet him during the daily janta durbar but were denied permission to enter.

Security guards prevented Mishra and others with him from entering the premises of Kejriwal’s house. Mishra and his supporters tried to break the barricade put up outside the CM’s house when stopped by guards.

Mishra was going to meet Kejriwal to ask him “why he is not sacking health minister Satyendar Jain”.

Mishra alleged, “Jain has himself admitted that Rs. 300 crore have been allocated to procure medicines. The Delhi government boasts of having the highest budget earmarked for the health sector. In such a scenario how come there is a shortage of medicines? This is a scam.”

Mishra came to Kejriwal residence at 10:15am with a group of supporters led by a group of band. The main road was barrricacaded from both sides and cops were deployed. They sang songs and bhajan near the barricade before seeking entry into the janta darbar.

“I am going home, but I will come next time with a large number of supporters,” he said.

In his letter to the LG, Mishra wrote, “It is saddening that the chief minister is putting pressure on the chief secretary while keeping mum on the role of the health secretary or the health minister over the issue. I think the CM’s order, going out of way, should also be considered an act of corruption.”

Mishra, who held the water and tourism portfolios in the Delhi government, was first removed from the cabinet for ‘non-performance’.

He was subsequently suspended from AAP after he alleged that party supremo Kejriwal accepted ‘Rs. 2 crore in cash’ from Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain.
