It is a rare occasion such friendly relationship was maintained despite the fact that both belong to different parties with varied ideologies. In a highly praiseworthy letter as a parting gift, Modi praised Pranab and mentioned that we will draw strength from your outlook of democratic vision of taking everyone along, which the President developed over a long and illustrious public life.
