John Mayer and Katy Perry may no longer be romantically involved, but are the former flames considering making some HOT new music together?! The exes had a run-in at Drake’s birthday bash, giving them the perfect opportunity to reconnect.

John Mayer, 39, is still down to create new music with his ex girlfriend Katy Perry. The crooner recently attended The Jazz Foundation’s 15th annual “A Great Night in Harlem” event, where he opened up about the possibility of working with his former flame. “If the right song came around, you know,” he told. “I look at great musicians—you write the right song, you send it to somebody, but I don’t have anything in mind at the moment.” The formerly off-and-on couple crossed paths over the weekend at Drake’s 30th birthday party, so maybe this had something to do with it!

Before fans go jumping to any conclusions, Katy is very happily dating her longtime beau, Orlando Bloom. The lovebirds recently attended Kate Hudson‘s Halloween bash on Oct. 28, rocking presidential inspired costumes, seeming to be two peas in a pod! However, there was a time when the pop icon was making gorgeous hits with her previous beau John. Katy was featured on the singer’s track “Who You Love,” and of course the heartfelt single was amazing! Even though she wrote the song, “Dear John,” about her ex, it looks like they’ve both moved on.

It’s pretty obvious there’s no bad blood between Katy and John. The former pair still reportedly wants to remain friends despite their differences after splitting in July 2015. Sources told People last year, “They are exes that everyone can aspire to be like because they are mature and kind and gracious to each other. They’re both going to go out with other people, and they want each other to be happy.” So awesome!
