Juhu gas explosion

Two gas cylinders exploded at Juhu in an under construction building.  Six people were killed in the blast and caused extensive damage to lives and properties. The Maharashtra Government must give sufficient compensation as the case was accidental for the workers working there. Human life is lost for no fault of theirs and as the relief measures show callous attitude towards the people in this part of the city. This was one of the worst fire accidents in the city and at least Rs 10 lakhs each could have been sanctioned to each one of the victims to start their lives afresh after the loss of kith and kin. Most of them are from Bengal and as they lost their homes, the compensation will help the buy new utensils and other items. In this major fire 6 people died and more than 20 people were injured and some of them were seriously injured. The state administration should lend a helping hand rather than providing a meagre amount as relief. The State Government should consider this as a major accident and sanction interim relief immediately.
