Mumbai- Pune Expressway continues to be a killer road as the week-end traffic turn into tragedy most of the time in recent times. Five people were killed in a gruesome accident as a private bus caught fire inside Kamshet tunnel and a car rammed into it in total darkness. No emergency lights were provided inside the tunnel making it more gruesome. The expressway road is the centre of accidents as oil spill and eggs spill all cause delay and the disgruntled drivers resort to rash driving in this corridor. As the smoke erupted from the bus after the fire, lights went off inside the tunnel causing the confusion. Express highway is carrying the killer road tag and people travelling between Pune and Mumbai are facing tight situation most of the time during week-end.
