1) Danger of metro work

Once again, Metro work is giving a danger signal to the pedestrians and road users. Iron mesh falling on BEST is a dangerous incident in Kandivali and fortunately, commuters were unhurt. Mesh fell on a BEST near Thakur Complex on Western Express Highway is a dangerous signal. There was a panic and the commuters alighted from the bus in a hurry to save their lives. This is happening regularly during construction and there are no security measures to safeguard the interest of both pedestrians and vehicle users. It is time to have safety measures in the place at such dangerous spots.

2) A greatest PM our country has ever had, R.I.P Vajpayee Ji!

The entire nation mourns in grief at the passing away of Atal Bihari Vajpayee who perhaps was the greatest Prime Minister our country has ever had. Truly unfortunate that he was PM for three terms which otherwise would have changed our country’s fortunes to a developed superpower had he not become a victim of dirty politics which pulls down those who are honest and worthy. Vajpayee was the Father of nuclear atomic age (Pokhran explosion which made India a nuclear nation thanks to his efforts). Apart from being somebody who took all his allies on board in a coalition set up but without comprising on ethics and principles. He preferred losing power than compromising on issues he believed in.

Vajpayee was the true Bharat Ratna our country has ever had and the void created by his death would be impossible to fill. Vajpayee was the greatest orator our country, and even his poetry mesmerised his opponents who only had love and respect for him in spite of having political differences. R.I.P Vajpajee Ji! May His Soul Rest In Peace.

3) Fantastic and memorable victory

Millions of congratulations to Vinesh Phogat who scripted history to become the first Indian woman wrestler to win a gold medal at the Asian games brushing aside her rival with remarkable ease in the 50kg category. Fantastic and accomplishment victory she has achieved and made the entire country proud. Phogat created a great hope for all the girls to aspire to prove their talent before people. Strongly, I hope she would be taken care of by the Government of India and provided with more facilities to enhance her skills. It will spur for all youngsters to take to the sport and earn laurels for the nation.

4) Website of Central Bank needs modification

There is a provision of getting duplicate receipts for payment of various types of central and state taxes paid online through the website of the Central Bank of India. But after providing payment of Goods and Service Tax (GST), the website of the Bank is not yet updated to provide duplicate receipts for GST payment even though there does exist provision for the issue of duplicate receipts for payments of all other taxes. It also becomes necessary because the website usually goes disrupted soon after GST payment is received online through the website of the bank. The Central Bank of India should urgently modify its website for the provision of providing duplicate receipts of all types of taxes including GST.

5) K Chandrashekar Rao: Telangana’s pride

I appreciate the Telangana government to take such helping step for the poor people of the state. The Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrashekar Rao has launched two schemes – Rythu Bhima providing 5 lakh life insurance policy for farmers’ families and another providing Rs 50,000 to the poor to set-up small businesses. In real, the Telangana government is an ideal development model for the rest of the country. I extend my deepest gratitude to the CM of Telangana for taking such steps for the nation. I request other states to take care of farmers’ families who have committed suicide, providing them with all means to live a comfortable and happy life as Telangana government rendered for its nation.

6) How to redevelop Kerala state?

Now, the biggest challenge is the rehabilitation of the flood victims, rebuilding the damaged houses and providing them with financial help for their damaged household items including furniture, domestic appliances and other items. It’s not a cup of tea to reconstruct everything rather it demands much time and a great financial help. It is the Central government’s responsibility to pay attention to Kerala’s recent situation with more assistance. I request all Indian citizens too that they should contribute into the redevelopment of their own citizen fellows because as a human being it is our responsibility to help them to those affected by natural /manmade disasters. Modalities need to be worked out through grants, interest-free loan or any other mode of payment.

7) Basic poll-reforms necessary

Successive central governments including the present one have been deferring long-awaited poll-reforms for so many decades in name of never-to-be achieved political consensus with reports of so many committees and commissions set up high costs gathering dust without any action. Even repeated recommendations by successive Chief Election Commissioners are not being implemented. Poll-reforms that could be possible were only because of Supreme Court directions.

At least some basic poll-reforms which do not generate controversy must be implemented before next Lok Sabha elections. A person must not be allowed to contest simultaneously from more than one constituency or for both Lok Sabha and state assembly. Rather a sitting MP or MLA must resign from the earlier seat before being allowed to file nomination for the other House. It is political sin to waste hard-earned money of taxpayers in unnecessary by-elections caused due to a person winning from more than one constituency or for both Lok Sabha and state assembly because the law does not permit a person to represent more than one constituency or in both Lok Sabha and state assembly.

8) Modi means mega move

Modi means business and he did it in style from the Red Fort on the Independence day. People may think that he is trying to reach out for stars.  But his vision and mission are mainly from the developmental angle. The Indian Elephant is on the move and touches a new high if the Modi government wins back the power for the next five years. With high hopes and a will to achieve, Modi is a taskmaster. People may treat the speech as an election speech for 2019 but in reality, he got the right platform to express his mind. He touched up on all the issues and consider his reach to Dalits, youth, farmers, tribals, women, fishermen, security forces middle class and upper middle class.  It was a meaningful talk and he mastered the art of making things move in a proper direction and as per his vision. The win-win situation achieved through his efforts is the testimony for creating harbinger of hope among people of this country and that was reflected in his speech on an all-important date.
