Sacked Delhi Water Minister Kapil Mishra on Sunday alleged that the Russia tour of AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Ashutosh was funded by a person related to a company which is facing probe in a Rs. 400 crore scam.
In a series of tweets, Mishra claimed that Sheetal Prasad Singh was in the business of High Security Registration Plates and also alleged that the Rs. 400-crore scam was in the same business in Delhi.
“Sheetal Prasad had close links with the companies involved in the scam,” he alleged. Several people from some of these firms also had links with Hawala operators from across the world, he added.
“My request to all those who left the party and party workers — we don’t have to leave this party, we have to snatch it back from the corrupt…I am launching a campaign called ‘Let’s clean AAP’. I urge all party workers to come together and clean the party,” said Mishra.
“I have posed nine questions to Arvind Kejriwal as I got details about one foreign tour of Sanjay Singh and Ashutosh… When will you make details of all foreign tours of AAP leaders public?” Mishra said at a press conference at his residence on Sunday.
“I profusely apologise to former senior AAP leaders Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav. We should have paid heed to their views back then.”
Having got that out of the way, Mishra moved on to his almost-daily job of the last two weeks – allegations against AAP and Kejriwal, this time to do with their alleged links to an allegedly dodgy businessman.
Mishra said that Sheetal runs a business that makes high-security license plates. He alleged that it’s this business that is being investigated in a “Rs. 400 crore scam”, which is connected to ‘hawala’, or money-laundering.
Mishra also said Sanjay Singh, Ashish Talwar, Vibhav Kumar, Durgesh Pathak, Dilip Panday have hijacked the party.
“We had started ‘India Against Corruption’ campaign. We have made this party. It is not the time to leave the party, it is time to snatch it back. Give a missed call at 7863037300 to fight against corruption with me.”
