Modi Sarkar’s latest project: Defend the children of his Ministers

Narendra Modi sarkar’s two big ministers’ sons have given a big reason for the opposition to smile. Modi Sarkar is engaged in defending errant children of their senior ministers. There were rumours about Rajnath Singh’s son Pankaj’s wrong doing which has been floating around from the last fortnight. As the government prepares to showcase its 100 days in office next week, the PMO got into damage control mode and swiftly issued a statement that the media report was “plain lies, motivated and constituted a malicious attempt at character assassination and tarnishing the image of the government.”

In another incident, a case of rape was registered against the son of Railway Minister DV Sadananda Gowda on a complaint by a woman who claimed that she is married to him, even as his engagement ceremony took place. The woman, who was a small-time model and has acted in a Kannada film as a heroine, claimed she is married to the minister’s son, who got engaged to another woman at a ceremony at Kushalnagar in Kodagu District. However, as usual, minister and his son are denying the charges. Minister termed the model-turned-actor’s allegations against his son as a fabricated one without giving any scope for investigation.

Both Rajnath Singh and Sadananda Gowda are facing heat by the media. These ministers’ sons are burden on their parents and now on party. Immoralities exist even in other countries’ leaders too, but their leaders are immaculate. They lead an exemplary life keeping the moral values at highest esteem. They set good example for others. It is indeed sad that we Indians treat our politicians as dirt and they lead the dirtiest life. On the occasion of the engagement ceremony of the Railway Minister’s son Karthik, the actor went on air accusing him of already having married her. The charge was denied by Karthik, who told mediapersons that he did not know Mythriya at all. Sadananda Gowda had also expressed surprise over the charges, whereas her pictures with son and father are already in circulation.

Is politicians’ life is so filthy that they do not respect moral values? We vote them to power and they think that they gain the license to do anything on this earth and we will quietly see them and will never question them. If the news that Rajnath Singh’s son and Rajnath Singh had an earful from the PM, about Pankaj Singh’s corruption, is true, then the entire nation should stand with the PM for taking a bold stand. However, if the news is fabricated then government is falling into its own trap. News like this should bring some changes in the way our politicians think. Unfortunately, we can’t expect politicians to turn into saints as they have to get returns for their investments in the election season. They do whatever they want to do and if they are caught then they announce that if proved then they will quit politics. However, they influence the enquiry against family member and nothing comes in probing. Even if one per cent is convicted ‘bhoole bhatke’ then they enjoy home like comfort or we can say ‘five star’ treatment in jail. Floods and draughts may come and go but corruption index is the only thing whose graph is steadily inclining. Maya Kodnani is out of jail, and Amit Shah heads the party. Yeddurappa is the vice president of the party. Parliament is relatively quiet because the trouble makers are now in power. BJP didn’t let the parliament function for 10 years. The party is known for manufacturing rumours and spreading them.

This will be the latest pet project of Modi Sarkar, defending the children of his ministers and what a clash of destiny that Dr. MM Singh defended Rahul in his whole tenure and Modi is now defending Pankaj. A cover up seems to be in the offing just to save the party from embarrassment on the occasion of celebrations of its government’s 100-day in office. But, how long will they succeed? The truth will come out soon, rather sooner than later. Perhaps, there were tugs of war within Congress during its tenure in the government. The alleged spat between P. Chidambaram and Pranab Mukherji is a case in reference. Even if it was true, it came up almost at the end of second term of UPA. The present problem has surfaced within 100 days in office of BJP government. Unless party keeps its affairs transparent, it may explode one day and harm the party and the government. BJP has come to power on the promise of good governance and development plan. This internal fighting will spoil its credibility for a long time. Why PMO releases a statement in a hurry? It has not reacted to Supreme Court’s judgement on tainted ministers. The problem is that, this news can create a vertical split in BJP. Narendra Modi is capable of ditching all those who protected him in the past. LK Advani is now behind the curtain. Next in line is Rajnath Singh, who has been replaced by Amit Shah to lead the party. We need a strong PM who can take an uncompromising stand in the interest of the nation. Individuals may come and go but only when we adhere to certain values. Politics is a filthy game, full of hits & runs with arrows thrown in the dark as part of vested interests’ conspiracy. Let’s see when and how the truth comes out.
