Mumbai likely sees light rain,thunder showers and cloudy skies

The city woke up to another cool day as the minimum temperature, 18 degrees (recorded at IMD’s Santacruz observatory), was a degree below normal. Colaba recorded 21 degrees.

IMD in its five-day forecast stated that on December 12-13 the city as well as parts of Thane could witness light rain and thunder showers coupled with cloudy skies.

On Sunday, the city’s overall air quality index (AQI) was 245 which despite being in poor category was better compared to last week when it had crossed the 300 mark, according to the System of Air Quality Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR).

The most polluted location on Sunday was Chembur (321), then BKC (309), Andheri (306), Mazgaon, (301), Malad (300), Bhandup (215) and Colaba (193).
