Nawab Malik Out Of Communication; Since Son-In-Law, Sameer Khan Sent To Jail

On Thursday, NCB conducted a raid at his Bandra residence. In a huge discomfort, the NCB on Wednesday somehow detained Sameer Khan. NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede stated that Khan was arrested after being interrogated the whole day on Wednesday.

A huge stash of imported strains of Ganja was recovered from the Khar resident Karan Sajnani. He along with his two sisters – Rahila Furniturewala and Shaista Furniturewala along with Ramkumar Tiwari of ‘Muchhad Paanwala’ were arrested under the provisions of the NDPS Act and produced in the court. During the investigations, the role of Sameer Khan, a resident of Bandra also came to light. Sameer Khan is the son-in-law of Maharashtra Minister and NCP leader Nawab Malik.

“Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is conducting multiple raids in Mumbai. After the arrest of one Sameer Khan yesterday, NCB intensified its investigation in the drugs case, multiple teams of NCB are conducting raids in Mumbai since last night” said an NCB official.

Whereas NCP leader Nawab Malik wrote on social media, “Nobody is above the law and it should be applied without any discrimination. Law will take its due course and justice will prevail. I respect and have immense faith in our judiciary.” soon after that Malik switched off his phones and gone out of communication to avoid media questions. NCB sources said that Sameer Khan was examined and during the interrogation of Sajnani, it was found that he had invested money in the drug supply chain run by Sajnani. The drugs being supplied by Sajnani were supplied not only in Mumbai but also in other states across the country. Sajnani is suspected to have been running the drug supply chain with connections in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur as well, following which the agency conducted raids.

Sameer Khan was called on Wednesday morning after Sajnani as one of his business partners revealed his name. He was questioned for over 12 hours and then was placed under arrest. NCB has found incriminating digital evidence against Sameer Khan regarding his dealings and investments with Sajnani.

NCB officials had also found a transaction of Rs 20,000 between Sameer Khan and drug kingpin Karan Sajnani who was arrested last week and 200 kg of drugs were recovered from him.
