Devendra Fadnavis is a no nonsense CM and governance of Maharashtra has been corruption-free under his regime. Corrupt ministers have been shunted out of his cabinet and his chair as CM could be shaky but that is because he has zero tolerance towards corruption. City’s infrastructure in the last three years of BJP regime under Fadnavis has seen a sea change and Mumbai metro has been the biggest beneficiary. The work has been in full swing and the project should be completed before deadline of 2019. Yes, citizens have faced hardship due to diggings all around but this is due to city’s demographics and Mumbai would have world class transportation as well as infrastructure in the years to come.
The biggest drawback I thought was on the education front where Mumbai University exams have not been conducted properly. Coalition politics is the reason for most of the shortfalls as important decisions get delayed at times due to vote bank politics and other ulterior motives. Hawker-free roads and footpaths too should be credited to this government though one is not sure how long this would last. Inflation and rising vegetable prices I believe has been a blot on this government’s good work though many factors are involved in their pricing!
