A new Hindu temple constructed in Jebel Ali in Dubai is set to open on Tuesday, one day ahead of the Dussehra festival.
Khaleej Times reported that the temple is an extension of the Sindhi Guru Darbar Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in the UAE.
The temple’s foundation was laid in February 2020 and the inauguration fulfills a decades-long Indian dream of having a place of worship in the area.
The temple, which will be officially open to the public from October 5 — the day of the Dussehra festival, welcomes people of all faiths and has allowed entry to worshippers and other visitors to view the 16 deities and other interior works, reported Gulf News.
Welcoming people from all faiths, the temple has already had its soft opening on September 1, 2022, where thousands of visitors were allowed to get a glimpse of the interiors of the temple built with white marble.
It has ornate pillars, Arabic and Hindu geometric designs on the facade, and bells on the ceiling.
The temple management activated the QR-code-based appointment booking system via its website on its soft opening. From day one, the temple has received many visitors, especially over the weekends.
The restricted entry has been regulated through QR-coded appointments for crowd management and to ensure social distancing, the report said. Most of the deities are installed in the main prayer hall with a large 3D-printed pink lotus unfurling across the central dome.
According to the official temple website, Dubai’s new Hindu temple will be open from 6:30 am to 8 pm.
Visitors who have booked their appointments to visit the temple from Dubai’s official website for October 5, will be allowed entry without being subject to the hourly number restrictions which are currently in place.
Moreover, the temple in Dubai has a whooping capacity to easily accommodate around 1000 to 1200 worshippers on a daily basis. Located in what is described as the ‘Worship Village’ in Jebel Ali which houses several churches and the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara, the temple has also installed the Guru Granth Sahib, the Holy Book of the Sikhs, in August.

Shiv Sainiks of Aaditya Thackeray’s worli constituency joined Shinde camp 7
On Sunday most of Thackeray led Shiv Sena party’s leader of Worli Constituency joined Shinde faction. Party workers quitting so frequently can challenge Aditya’s political future ahead. Meanwhile, the Shined camp has already taken a pledge that they will finish Shiv Sena of Uddhav Thackeray in Maharashtra.
Neelam Gorhe Deputy Shiv Sena leader from Thackeray fraction said “If they are joining some other party it is up to them and we will see if their expectations have been fulfilled or not”.
Sena leader Dilip Shinde from the Shiv Sena said “They are leaving the party as they are scared of the inquiry or raids of Enforcement Directorate or Central Bureau Investigation and this is why they would be leaving the party and some examples of people who left the party are Yashwant Jadhav and Pratap Sarnaik”
Leaders also mentioned that some people are scared to be a part of the Thackeray led Shiv Sena party due to raids and other inquiry and investigations from authoritative agencies which are Enforcement Directorate or Central Bureau Investigation and just to be on safer side they might have joined the other party which has support of other opposition party.
Many Shiv Sainiks were seen going to meet the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde but when we spoke to the Sena leaders they said it was not to join the party some Sainiks had only visited to talk on the issue of coastal road project.
Sunil Shinde, a Sena leader told Afternoon Voice that “None has left the Thackeray Shiv Sena party and it was some civilians who had issues with the coastal road project and there were no Shiv Sainik joining Shinde camp”.
Vinayak Raut from the Thackeray led Sena party said that “Only 5- 10% have left the Thackeray led party and rest all are working with the same party and BJP has presented its fake people posing them from Sena party and joining Shinde camp”
Shiv Sena leader Datta Narvankar told Afternoon Voice that “Shiv Sainiks only went to meet the Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to discuss the coastal road project and they have not joined any shinde camp party. So the news which is there of Sainiks joining Sena party are fake news and those sainiks also spoke to Uddhav Thackeray in Matoshree that they only went to discuss about the coastal road project”
Since 2013 when it was decided that the BJP will launch its PM candidate Modi the entire blame game started and created anger against UPA Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal and Baba Ramdev initiating a hunger strike and public movement. Baba Ramdev to Anna Hazare all made false claims against Congress and especially Gandhi’s family but none of them could prove anything against Sonia or Rahul Gandhi. Sonia became a punching bag for Modi and BJP; he spewed a lot of venom against her in all his pre-election rallies. After winning the election in 2014 he continued attacking her publicly but till today BJP could not prove their assertions.
On the other hand, Sonia Gandhi and her family members maintained a dignified silence. They knew that the media was unleashed against them. They were aware that social media was hacked and time again false narration was created against Gandhi. They were summoned to ED and also harassed but nothing could really be proved against them. In spite of all political atrocities, the family went in public and stood with them. In the election the votes were manipulated, and anti-campaign was done. Modi made it a point that India would be Congress free but that also became a remote possibility.
Rahul is brave, and compassionate and believes in an Inclusive and Harmonious Ideology. The day will come when Rahul Gandhi will be considered one of the best leaders of India. He is facing the worst ever crisis of his political career and yet he just refuses to give up. Nothing can deter him. He inspires millions of people on his way. See the enthusiasm of people when he is walking his path connecting people.
Mahatma Gandhi walked 79,000 km during his movement for India’s independence. During campaigning from 1913 to 1948, he walked around 79,000 kilometres, which is the equivalent of walking around the Earth twice. The records were accessed from the National Gandhi Museum and published as a collector’s item to mark the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of the Mahatma. Mahatma walked with people on several occasions and he got freedom for India. Similarly, Rahul is walking miles to spread love in the people and free them from hate-mongering.
Bharat Jodo Yatra now resumed at Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Circle in Mysuru and received a rousing response, as he left for Pandavapura via Manipal Hospital Circle. He said nothing can deter the Bharat Jodo Yatra which is aimed at “stopping hatred and violence spread by the BJP-RSS”, as he addressed a public meeting in heavy rains there. Soon after Rahul Gandhi arrived at the public meeting at the end of the day’s march, the showers started but Rahul Gandhi chose to continue his speech. That moved millions of hearts.
Rahul participated in numerous events at Khadi village Badanavalu to mark Gandhi Jayanthi on October 2 and resumed his yatra at Kaalibeeramma temple at Kadkola Industrial Area junction. He walked up to APMC Yard in Bandipalya and halted in a camp. While walking on the road he is greeting many people. One can see his huge female fan following. No doubt people love him, and they will continue to do so.
So far Rahul was walking with his cadres but now Mom Sonia Gandhi is also in Mysore to join him on Bharat Jodo Yatra in Karnataka. She will definitely add value to yatra by standing beside her son. Congress leaders too are getting charged, Congress too has changed its monotonous leadership. Lot has changed and a lot has to be changed. 2028 would see revived Congress and that would definitely challenge Modi.
Opposition attacks on Delhi's CM Arvind Kejriwal's "Zero Bill" in Gujarat 11
Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday declared that “they might come up with a ‘Zero Bill’ scheme of electricity in Gujarat as well after Delhi and Punjab but the opposition does not think in the same manner and they have stated it is only done to prove their political agenda.
Some leaders of the Aam Aadmi party have claimed that schools in Gujarat do not have the proper infrastructure nor teachers are paid well in those government schools in Gujarat.
Arvind Kejriwal has visited Gujarat ahead of the elections for this year and the Aam Aadmi Party on social media has posted a new tweet in which it states “A person came with an electricity bill of Rs 3500. An old bill of Rs 70,000 has also been stopped while a fan is running. Bill asks for 10,000 bribes to fix it. We made Bijli Free and the electricity bill was waived in Delhi-Punjab. Bill Zero may come in Gujarat too” said in Hindi.
On the issue of ‘Zero Bill,’ a member of the Aam Aadmi Party Dhananjay Shinde said that “We are doing this for poor people of the society because it’s not only about the people who can afford the expense of electricity but there are some other people as well who are still struggling and not able to pay the higher bills of the electricity in the state.”
Though AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal is trying to get into the politics of Gujarat the opposition has different perceptions of it and they believe that it won’t be able to make any place in Gujarat. When we spoke to the opposition leaders if the “Zero Bill” comes in Gujarat after which a BJP leader Kirit Solanki told Afternoon Voice, “We don’t react to these people’s talks and they are completely a waste.”
Prabhubhai Vasava, Member of the Parliament told Afternoon Voice, “Zero bill is not possible in the state. How will he pay taxes to the government and how will the state function with the ‘Zero Electricity Bill’? These are only false promises for the election.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Som Dutt said, “Electricity is the basic need and this why the scheme has come and apart from that we would also work on other sectors which is education, health and other facilities for the people.”
BJP leader Mitesh Patel said, “When they are not able to come with Zero Bills in Delhi and Punjab then it won’t happen in Gujarat as well. They are all lying about it and their tricks won’t work in Gujarat.”

Police arrested a man in connection with the threat to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s life, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said in Nagpur on Monday.
Speaking to reporters, Mr Fadnavis said the state Home department headed by him has taken cognizance of all the threats against the Chief Minister. “We are paying full attention to the security of the chief minister and other aspects.
The person who threatened the Chief Minister yesterday has been arrested, ” he said, adding that the Chief Minister’s security is very important. Though Mr Fadnavis didn’t share details regarding the arrested person, Pune Police had registered a non-cognisable (NC) offence against a man who had called up the police control room claiming a “plot” to kill Chief Minister Shinde at a hotel in Lonavala in Pune district.
The man, Avinash Waghmare, was drunk and made the call on Saturday to “teach a lesson” to the owner of the hotel for allegedly overcharging him for a bottle of water, a senior police officer said on Sunday.
The State Intelligence Department (SID) on Saturday received a specific input about the threat to the life of the chief minister, following which his security was increased.
JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy said the comments by RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale on economic inequality, poverty and unemployment “has raised a huge question on the authenticity of ‘achhe din’ claims.”
In a series of tweets, the former Karnataka chief minister said Hosabale’s remarks held up a mirror to the current state of the country.
“It does not take any special expertise to assess who has benefited and who has lost out in the seven years of BJP rule in the country,” Kumaraswamy said, highlighting the statistics shared by the RSS leader that 20 crore people were below the poverty line and four crore youths did not have any jobs.
