Television channels are deriving sadistic glee in showing needless and uninformed utterances by people asking citizens to boycott Chinese products as India has become stronger. The persons uttering such things are merely interested in getting themselves photographed. They do not realize that they are teasing and poking some country which can inflict a lot of damage to our growing economy. I understand Chinese psyche well, having dealt with them. My own view is that in 1962 Chinese attacked us as they were jealous of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s popularity and now the similar situation is building, vis-a-vis Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Information & Broadcasting ministry must tell these adventurous television anchors to take it easy and avoid provocation. China is at least three times stronger than us; This is not at all underestimating our defense forces but truthfully putting the realistic picture.

We must solve our border demarcation by a good negotiation following the policy of give and take and persuasion to obtain maximum benefit. Be magnanimous, be friendly, and things can surely be sorted out. Draw out the blue print of some projects on which we can work together. Working together reduces hostility and promotes acceptability.
