Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has called for the establishment of a “Sanatana Dharma Rakshana Board” to address pressing issues concerning temples across the country. His appeal follows reports of animal fat being found in the Tirupati Prasadam, a matter that Kalyan says underscores broader concerns of temple desecration and the erosion of dharmic practices.
In a social media post on X, Kalyan expressed deep concern over the alleged discovery of animal fat in the Tirupati Balaji Prasadam. He assured the public that the government would take strict action and emphasized that this controversy points to larger issues such as temple mismanagement and the desecration of religious sanctity.
Kalyan also called for a national-level debate, urging the involvement of policymakers, religious leaders, the judiciary, and citizens to collectively combat the desecration of Sanatana Dharma. Echoing his sentiments, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh and other political figures expressed their shock and demanded accountability from the previous YSR Congress-led administration.
