It is a welcome news that the Petrol Prices have been reduced all over the country. People from Mumbai need not burn their pockets and it has come down to Rs.73.50 per litre with immediate effect. Similarly diesel prices have been slashed to 61.80 per litre. This is a common practice of the Union Government to increase the price and drastically reduce it as the prices for barrel of petrol coming down and the benefit is passed on the Petrol/Diesel users as well. But this time they call that the reduction is due to the State-owned Oil Marketing firms announced a cut in petrol prices by Rs.3.77 per litre and the same was passed on to the consumers after crude oil prices fell on the International Market. Though, the Government faced stringent opposition in the face of the petrol price hike, this came as a relief to the motor vehicle users in the country.
