Ray of hope for Indian hockey!

Junior hockey World Cup win is proud moment for our country as India thrashed Belgium 2-I to win this incredible honour after 15-years when India last one it at Hobart, Australia way back in 2001. Our hockey performance has been on the decline over the years at the international level and this fantastic win from our juniors raises hope of Indian hockey’s revival as many from this team would graduate to our national team in the years to come.

Captain Harjeet Singh led team is extremely talented with great support from coach Harendra Singh who has been a pillar of strength to bring out the best out of the boys. Hockey talent is in abundance in our country and encouragement combined with international exposure could do wonders to promote Indian hockey to become the best in the world. Junior team be it of any sport is the future of tomorrow and Indian government through various sports federations should nurture young talent to make them world beaters.
Well done Team India and the entire nation is proud of our Junior hockey team’s performance for which they should be handsomely rewarded for their efforts by our government!
