The cat is finally out of the bag and V.K. Sasikala has been rightly convicted in the DA case (Disproportionate Asset case) by the Supreme Court going by the huge wealth she has amassed over the years by corrupt means. However, corruption rules roost in our country and most politicians would be guilty on this count be it from the ruling party or the opposition. Four years jail sentence to Sasikala was appropriate but the court should make all out efforts to recover the loot she and her close associates has plundered to give meaning to the sentence. Other politicians from the likes of the Lalu Yadavs and the Mayawatis to the Bhujhbals to every Tom, Dick and Harry who have looted the nation should be tried and convicted by the courts for committing similar offence. Politics has become a business of loot and corruption and time to cleanse the system in totality which would than encourage the educated and the honest to join electoral politics!
