Selfishness precedes service

I am a Hindu and I possess great “ sanskaras” of service. Too much bickering is happening between Shiv Sena and BJP about seat sharing issue. Both the parties are not thinking about the development of Maharashtra and they are more bothered about the Chief Ministerial post. Compared to this, see how many selfless persons are undertaking rescue and relief work in flood stricken Kashmir. I wonder what the RSS is doing. Why they are not enforcing discipline among these selfish politicians who have started deciding cabinet portfolios for themselves ahead of assembly election.

Mayor Snehal Ambekar has received a good opportunity to serve the residents of Mumbai but she has refused to remove the red beacon light from her official car. All of us are saying that let us offer more chance to women and empower them so that they can render better service. BJP MP from Unnao Sakshi Maharaj had alleged that Madrasas across the country are imparting education of terror and love jihad. He claimed that Muslim youth in madrasas are being motivated for “love jihad” with offers of cash rewards — Rs 11 lakh for an “affair” with a Sikh girl, Rs 10 lakh for a Hindu girl and Rs 7 lakh for a Jain girl. He also want the government to stop financial aid to them.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan must restrain them. Something might be going wrong somewhere but it should be tackled by local leaders and the administration.

There are reports about J&K cricketers rescuing people, which is laudable but at the same time we also hear that money meant for afforestation was diverted to install luxuries. The common people are good as selfishness is prevalent more among the upper middle class people. News is being reported but public memory is too short and we forget e.g. we are unaware about the officers and judges who were enjoying illicit sex as reported in a Jharkhand episode. Have they been punished yet?

We are making noises that Dawood should be handed over to us. What shall we do with him? The case will continue for a long period of time but justice will not be delivered. What about Abu Salem? We have almost forgotten about him after his reported marriage during a train journey. Senior RJD leader Pappu Yadav had said that the BJP and RSS are trying to derive political mileage out of the love jihad campaign. Our criminal justice system is awfully slow and needs a drastic overhaul.
