Shikhar Dhawan in striking form

After the test run of success, Shikhar Dhawan continued his form in the shortest form of the game by scoring a blistering century. He made his presence felt with a sound start and touched the winning target with more than 120 balls to spare with skipper Virat Kohli. Team India could achieve a nine wicket victory and start with a 1-0 lead. Form is temporary and class is permanent and Dhawan showed his class in the best way possible.  He completed his 100 in 71 balls and this his 11th one day century.  Dhawan made 132 of 90 balls with 20 fours and 3 sixes and made to look Sri Lankan bowling ordinary. Lankan batting innings told two different stories one of strength and one of surrender. From a position of 139 for one the team folded up another 77 runs in the next 19 overs to lose the game without much fight. The team’s slide started in Test match cricket with two innings defeats and the trend continued in the one day format too. Shikhar Dhawan is the shinning star of Indian cricket now.
