As in the first edit in this series on 11th May edition I profiled Dawood Ibrahim Kasker’s sister Haseena Parker, in this concluding write up I want to profile some of his siblings and second generation who were and are involved with him in his crime. Dawood wife Mehjabeen alias Zubeena Zareen and couple’s children were never in news for any heinous crime. He has five children Mahrukh, Mehreen, Maria are daughter whereas Moeen and Atif Aslam are sons.

Dawood is famous for womanizing and his passion for Bollywood babes was at extreme level, Mandakini, a former Bollywood diva was his wife for some time.

His Siblings:

Brothers – Late Noor-ul-Haq alias Noora, who was allegedly shot dead by Pathan Gang in Karachi. Anees Ibrahim Kaskar believed to be in Dubai and has hotel and construction business and he runs to and fro between Karachi and Dubai. Iqbal Kaskar, deported from Dubai about decade ago but have acquitted in most of the cases, now leaving in Pakmodia Street house. As told earlier, her sister Haseena Parker, who passed away sometimes ago and his other sister Shahida known as Aapi. Reportedly Dawood have 11 siblings, but names of others are not known. Sameer Wagle is the son of Dawood’s elder sister Shahida and runs a travel agency at Mazgaon. He, along with four others, was arrested by the Byculla police in February 2006 on charges of extortion. The accused were arrested after the victim, confined in a room at Dockyard Road, dialed 100. The police then rescued the victim and his brother. The suspects had allegedly forced the victim to sign on a stamp paper, giving Wagle the ownership rights of his butcher shop at Mazgaon. The trial is pending.

Danish Parkar another nephew, he was Haseena’s son. There was one criminal case registered against him in the JJ Marg police station. He died in a road accident in 2005. His friends alleged he was killed in a “planned operation”’.

Iqbal Kaskar: Dawood’s younger brother, he was deported from the UAE in 2003 and booked in murder and land-grabbing cases. He was subsequently discharged from the murder case. On June 14, 2007 a special MCOCA court acquitted him in the controversial Sara-Sahara shopping complex case for lack of evidence. With no cases pending against him, Kaskar was released from jail.

Haseena Parkar: Dawood’s younger sister, she came under the crime branch scanner in 2006 for allegedly extorting money from a builder. While the 48-year-old widow managed to dodge the police, her lawyers proved in the court that it was not a case of extortion but cheating and was granted bail. A real estate broker, Vinod Avlani, had complained to the police that Parkar had threatened him.

Sajid Wagle: Dawood’s nephew, Sajid Wagle, was arrested in July 2008 for targeting cable operators in several areas of south Mumbai. Popularly known as Bhanja, Wagle has a group of boys working for him who go about threatening cable operators to pay hafta. The don’s nephew owns Nawaz cable and internet service agency. Son of a technical head clerk in the Merchant Navy, Bhanja is the second among four siblings. He was earlier arrested in February 2008 in an extortion case. A Std-VI dropout, Wagle, stepped into the world of crime in 1999 when he was first arrested in connection with an extortion case. Though Bhanja has never met his uncle in the past 25 years, he never fails to use his name.

The Interpol issued a red corner notice for Samira Jumani, the first wife of extradited underworld don Abu Salem. Jumani is wanted for offences like criminal conspiracy, fraud and forgery. Samira, is wanted by Interpol, Central Bureau of Investigation sources had claimed that Salem’s ex-wife could be privy to many secrets about the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts accused. Samira, whom Salem married in early 90s, after facing an abduction case filed by her parents, had escaped to Dubai with Salem after the serial bomb blasts in 1993. She was booked in 1997 for procuring a forged passport from Lucknow in the name of Sabina Azmi in July 1993, when Salem also procured a forged passport from Lucknow in the name of Akil Ahmed Azmi. The couple has an 8-year-old son from their marriage who stays with his mother. Salem has claimed that he divorced Samira after his affair and subsequent marriage with starlet Monica Bedi in late 90s. It was generally believed that more than Monica, it was Samira who holds keys to several intricate details about Salem and his involvement in blasts, his extortion business and other interests. Salem is alleged to have made investments in real estate in Samira’s name. Monica got a place in Salem’s heart with her performance in a Hindi movie. She was introduced to Salem in a party in Dubai and then came another movie followed by another; till Bhai ordered his fiancee to call it a day and settle down. The two did. The two managed to reside in USA on fictitious identities with voluminous property, money, credit cards and what not.

Monica thought it was love from her side; as well as from him; but it was not so. She didn’t have time to think and things were happening very fast till Salem came to be arrested in Lisbon. The separation in Portuguese jail gave Monica time to think over, take a self-retrospective when she realised that it was a bad dream. The two were deported to India after a term in Portuguese jail. Monica got her share and is now leading a simple life in Mumbai. She had turned down the flowers and greetings sent by Salem to her in Jail in Madhya Pradesh. Salem wanted to boast his affair with her for the sake of keeping his glamour alive in media. She did not however heed this time. Underworld follows the trends in the main world.
