I can see rays of hope for betterment of situation in Jammu & Kashmir consequent to the two brave women having sung the national song, quite unmindful of criticism and dangers involved. The gritty lady who hoisted flag at Lal Chowk can be inducted into the local government on behalf of the BJP. She can be a catalyst in consensus building. We have not learnt how to have a healthy competition. Our hoarding, black marketing tendencies have hindered the nation’s progress. An IAS officer, for example, has to become dishonest to prove his machosism. Government officers always eye for “oopar ki kamai”.
