Swine Flu deaths have given jitters to the people in Maharashtra.  Mumbai is also has witnessed more Swine Flu deaths in recent times. The toll already touched six and it is slowly spreading in to an epidemic form. It is time to take all precautionary measures and see that the disease did not spread during ensuing rainy season. As we do not have good hospitals, the victims are running from pillar to post. There are now several suspected cases reported from the city and it is high time BMC work round the clock and attend the cases properly and on a war footing. Swine Flu is a common mosquito-borne viral infection that causes a severe flu-like illness and proves lethal if not properly attended and lead to haemorrhagic fever and prove dangerous. During monsoon season water logging is a regular thing and that will breed more mosquitos. The issue was not properly addressed in the state of Maharashtra and Pune topped the list some seven year ago. Swine flu is dangerous and people show the symptoms and tests positive, then adequate measures and care must be taken. The symptoms are very clear and BMC should act immediately. It is time to vaccinate more people in the coming months to avoid spreading of the disease and the civic amenities should improve and be able to withstand onslaught of heavy rains and the garbage debris should be lifted before the onset of monsoon rains and that will help to reduce spreading of the disease.
