Take steps to boost agricultural production

A popular television anchor expresses anguish at Shri Tapas Pal, the TMC MP for his shoot and rape comments. However, the next day his picture is published in the newspaper asking citizens to see him using Alive app. Give me one valid reason why you want me to see him using this application?

Many times, I pick up smaller news papers in Hindi and English language to read and pass time and I find their content more realistic. Advertisements are printed on these newspapers where it is mentioned that people can earn Rs 10,000 by providing massage to housewives and women belonging to high society which I don’t like. Advertisements pertaining to “ babas” calling for “ vashikaran” etc too are printed which should be banned. They mislead the youth towards the wrong direction. Not only youth, even I was tempted but I tried to enforce control over myself.

I have always been advocating about citizen development but now Kiran Bedi too has expressed disappointment with our electorate. RSS must take up the job of citizen development instead of fancying themselves as some highbrow think tank. I am happy to learn that General Bikram Singh has mentioned that training will be imparted to people residing in border areas. This must be extended to the villages along railway lines in Maoist prone areas. However, Naxalism or Maoism cannot be controlled by using force alone. Equitable distribution of national wealth is one solution besides asking the misguided youth to relinquish the path of violence.

Sharad Pawar was appointed as Agriculture Minister even though everyone was aware that he was more interested in cricket and holding prestigious posts in BCCI. Potatoes, onions, tomatoes, milk, eggs are the items that must attract daily attention of the central government and states. Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel has done well by asking people to donate fruits and vegetables instead of flowers. Half of the lawns of Rashtrapati Bhawan and state governor residences should construct thatched roofs and grow lauki and taroi on them. Instead of taking steps to boost agricultural produce our President is interested in tweeting. You will only send out titular tweets and what is their utility? The President needs to have interaction with the Governors, Vice-Chancellors, Prime Minister and the Defence Chiefs instead of tweeting.
