Filmmaker Anand L Rai’s successful venture ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ (2011) became an instant hit with its unusual star cast and peppy music, thus tempting the director to make a comeback with a sequel. According to reports, the shooting for ‘Tanu Weds Manu 2’ has already begun in the city of Lucknow.
Reportedly, the sequel will take-off from the point where the original ended, which means that now the storyline will revolve around the married life of Tanu and Manu. The central characters, however have been retained in the sequel—KanganaRanaut, R. Madhavan and Jimmy Shergill.
Also, reports earlier suggested that Kangywill be seen playing double role in the film—one of Tanu and the other of an athlete. With such interesting additions, we hope the sequel turns out to be as impressive as the original.
