This year I witnessed some good acting performances in newly released films. One actress who deserves mention is Alia Bhatt. Her movies this year- 2 States, Highway, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya showcase her brilliant performances and her maturity as an actor. That too considering the fact that she is only 21 year old. Another film which I watched this year was Hansee to phansee. There was nothing great about the movie but Parineeti Chopra’s acting in that movie was brilliant. Not to mention that she is a good performer anyway. Then among actors there is Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. Their acting performance ensures that they have a long way to go and have very bright careers ahead.
Everyday new faces are emerging. The competition is very tough as one has to struggle in the industry to survive, unless, of course if you belong to the family of Bachchans and Kapoors. In such an atmosphere, it is very difficult for newcomers to make their mark in the industry. In such a situation talent comes handy. If you compare the acting skills displayed before to the acting skills displayed now, you will find that actors have progressed with passage of time to display better acting skills. Now we can compare our acting skills with that of the west. True, we are still lagging behind in many ways but we have definitely progressed from before.
Lets us for example compare these actors to the current A grade actors of Bollywood. Among male actors, the Khans and among female actors, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif are ruling the roost. However, none of these actors excelled in their performance at the beginning of their careers. They took their own time to display brilliance in their performances. But this young brigade of actors and actresses are all geared up to take on the world with a storm with passing years. The young it seems have more maturity compared to their elder counterparts. They have seen the world better and have a broader outlook.
Hence their importance should not be undermined. They have proven that they can beat the elders to make a mark in the industry. They are filled with zest and energy that are unparalled in the industry. So watch out guys! The new brigade is all set to entertain you in a way you have never been entertained before.
