P. Chidambaram and his son Karti now are now under such a predicament they simply refuse charges after coming under the scanner of CBI and both of them have denied wrongdoing. Both were raided by CBI as part of a wider probe into the alleged criminal misconduct in approving foreign investments in India. Former Finance Minister Chidambaram was having all the powers to cross the limits and as the Congress veteran thought of giving leeway to his son Karti in investment portfolio and favour him. In his two terms as Chidu was in thick of controversies and number of scams took place during his tenure. Later on, he was shifted to Home Ministry and there also he failed to maintain law and order problem and was brought back to Finance Ministry for the second time. The long rope given to Congress and the senior leaders all saw a scam filled rule and UPA was ousted out of power in May 2014. BJP government at the centre is trying to bring out all the scams in the last 3 years and now both Lalu and Chidambaram are cornered by both CBI and IT. Karti and Chidambaram are facing charges and INX Media scam involves Peter Mukherjea and Indrani Mukherjea as well. Chidu is in soup and reveal that he is innocent but the Pandora’s Box will bring more skeletons inside the cupboard. Where there is smoke, then there is fire also.
