Trisha Krishnan’s next project will be based on the 26/11 Mumbai attacks

Actress Trisha Krishnan‘s next outing is Tamil-Telugu thriller “1818”, based on the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, says a source. The project was originally launched with actress Abhinaya in 2015 and was even titled “Thudi”.

“The film was launched with Abhinaya, but due to lack of funds it had to be pushed into cold storage. Nearly a year and a half later, the project has been revived with Trisha, and the team is all set to commence shooting from later this month,” a source close to the film’s unit told IANS.

Trisha will reportedly play a receptionist in a five-star hotel. “The film’s story takes places between 6 p.m and 6 a.m in a hotel. It will mostly revolve around five important characters. Trisha’s role and performance will be talked about,” he said. Popular Telugu actors Brahmanandam and Rajendra Prasad will be essaying pivotal roles. The film, which will have music by S.S. Thaman, will be helmed by debutant Rithun Sagar.

In an interaction with Behindwoods, Ramesh Thilak, one of the actors of 1818, revealed the follwoing details of the film, “‘The film is based on the happenings inside the hotel during the bombings. I play a boy who works in one of the sections of the hotel and Trisha plays a guest at the hotel.The story will revolve around Trisha, me and Brahmanandam sir'”.

Apart from 1818, Trisha has number of films coming up – her Malayalam debut project – Hey Jude opposite Nivin Pauly, an upcoming comedy horror project where she plays a chef and a ghost – Mohini, then there’s her film with Arvind Swamy – Sathuranga Vettai 2 where she plays a negative character. She also has an untitled film with Vijay Sethupathi
