Why prices are rising?

Yesterday morning a television channel from Noida was broadcasting news pertaining to the test run of a fast train between Delhi and Mathura. They also aired how the tracks are checked and maintained in foreign countries. This is the manner in which our television channels should be functioning. India must adapt new technology and disseminate the knowledge. We must become very practical and work oriented. We must aim to perform a particular job and acquire skills in the best manner.

State governments must construct “ Mandis” ( a platform with shelter) where the villagers can bring their produce and sell. Such Mandi’s exist in Lucknow but people feel uncomfortable to go there and purchase vegetables which are sold at wholesale rates. Another reason is that they can’t go there by using their BMW’s due to the presence of large crowds. I nonetheless visit the place by riding my cycle.

When we meet we greet each other by saying good morning. Mornings are always good, we should say, “Are aaj bada accha pyaaz mila” etc. Speaking about alu, pyaaz, kaddu, lauki is not considered fashionable today and hence prices are rising. In Delhi, big lawns are present outside the bungalows of the ministers. Why can’t they grow onions, dhania, bhindi, tamatar along with flowers? Everybody wants to eat cheap onions without bothering about how it is cultivated, stored and transported. Water logging occurs in Mumbai, because BMC only issues tenders which are filled by businessmen. Migrant labour with inadequate skills performs work at the ground level and they are paid paltry salaries.

I requested Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari to begin the installation of one water desalination plant in Mumbai using the funds from Shirdi Sai Baba trust and the BCCI. However, Gadkari will never do it. Shirdi Sai Baba can be worshipped as a “ paigambar”, “Eshwar ke pratinidh” etc; but he cannot be put on equal pedestal to Bhagwan Shankar or “Ek danta dayavant”.
