11 workers shot by gunmen in Pakistan’s Balochistan after being kidnapped, no arrest yet!

In a shocking incident on Sunday at least eleven workers at a coal mine were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.  However, no arrest has been made yet in connection with the case.

Deputy Commissioner Murad Kasi quoted as saying the miners were on the way to work at that time an unidentified gunmen  abducted them and opened fire on them after taking them to the nearby hills in Machh area.

Sources from the province’s intelligence agencies said that the armed men handcuffed the workers and tied their feet before shooting them from a close range.

From the eleven, six of the miners died on the spot while the other five who were critically wounded died on the way to a hospital.

After the incident, a heavy contingent of police, Frontier Corps, and district administration officials reached the site.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has condemned the incident and sought an inquiry report from the authorities concerned.

While speaking on the same the minister said, “Those who targeted these innocent coal miners do not deserve any concessions.”

So far no group or individual has claimed the attack yet. Police Investigation into the incident is underway.
