Kangana Ranaut’s account was permanently removed by Twitter, which accused her of violating its rules on hateful conduct and abusive behaviour with a controversial post. The actor, defiant, called it the “death of democracy” in a fresh rant on Instagram. Actress Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel had her Twitter account suspended on April 16 after her series of abrasive tweets that seemed to incite religious hatred.

India is going through a very harsh timing; people are already stressed with the Pandemic. This is not the right thing to do in such circumstances where the whole world is under the grip of this deadly covid-19. One should spread love and peace during such times. We have bigger issues to deal with and there is no room for negativity in such testing times.

She should have refrained from making such comments. Being a celebrity she should be more responsible for the nation and its people. Today she became a successful actress because her audience stood by her. They are from all the sects.

While everybody, the government, doctors, nurses and all the medical professionals are doing so much hard work and helping us fight this disease and here she is just sitting on Twitter and spreading hatred and so much negativity. While I am all for freedom of speech, it’s not right to spread misinformation, hatred, bigotry in the guise of ‘opinion’.

Kangana and her sister Rangoli Chandel both are known for writing not very nice things on Twitter and abusing the shit out of anyone who calls her out. There have been times when she has been an active participant in spreading fake news. Both the sisters had a verified Twitter account with millions of followers.

Kangana believes that Twitter is an American platform biased, she thinks they are not fair towards the brown people that means Indians but she forgot the fact that the same twitter gave her an outlet to speak her mind. If they are biased, why does she switch to Twitter? A star or a celebrity is not only about what kind of work they are doing, it is also about how they are projecting themselves.

Once I was a great fan of her, even today I love her acting abilities, but what irks me is that she became a political tool and spreading selective hate. She has complaints against everyone, from her fraternity to the people around the globe, who don’t match to the right-wing agendas.

I know her journey has not been from Juhu to Bandra, she is from a remote village of Manali, From there to be the highest-paid actress of Bollywood, must be a journey we should take inspiration from. From her first film to her last released one, she has not only improved miles as an artist but a great transformation of a woman, who could not speak English to share thoughts about empowerment. She might have come from the scratches to skies but that does not permit her to spew venom.

Ranaut made Twitter sound like some pro-American website that booted out a popular Indian. But Twitter has not been very kind to the supporters of American former president Donald Trump either. For example, Twitter permanently banned a man called Alex Jones who ran a fake news website called InfoWars, in fact, Twitter also banned Info Wars and all accounts associated with it.

Very recently, Twitter recently locked out a famous actor and Trump supporter James Wood for posting a sensitive picture on the platform. Trump Junior was outraged by the action and defended him claiming that the picture was all over the internet anyway.

Twitter is not tolerant of anyone if they break rules and norms. Actor Kangana Ranaut’s account was permanently removed by Twitter, which accused her of violating its rules on hateful conduct and abusive behaviour with a controversial post. .Every time she claims that she is right in her approach and posts to hate. But one thing she should realize by now that people don’t bother about her statements. She should realize also that she may be a good actress but she is a great bore.
