A staffer of a stockbroking firm was killed while his colleague and two pedestrians suffered injuries after a man fired four rounds at them in a bustling slum in Kandivli (W) in the early hours of Saturday.
Rivalry and ego issues are said be the motive.Ankit Yadav, the 26-yearold deceased, and his colleague, Avinash Dabholkar, had tried to intervene in an altercation between their co-worker, Dinkar Pal, and the shooter, Sonu Paswan, police said.
Within 24 hours of the shootout, crime branch sleuths arrested Paswan and his accomplice, Suraj Gupta, who had helped him flee the crime scene on a scooter, from Bilimora in Gujarat. Dabholkar is critical.
