Bharati Vidyapeeth School of Photography students awarded diplomas

Award winning Filmmaker Govind Nihalani shared his experience in cinematography and photography with students of the Bharati Vidyapeeth School of Photography (BVSP) at an event held at Rajiv Gandhi Auditorium, Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Dhankawadi campus. Students received their Diplomas & Pearson HND level 5 certifications on this occasion. The event was attended by the students, parents and faculty members of the institute. The event began with the dignitaries being warmly welcomed by the faculty. They were given a brief tour of the studios, equipment, digital labs and other state-of-the-art facilities at the school. On this occasion Secretary, Bharati Vidyapeeth University and Rajan Chaughule, Director, BVSP in presence of Hon’ble Dr. Bhoite, former Vice Chancellor Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune and  Dr. S. F. Patil, former Vice Chancellor, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune were present.

Govind Nihalani said, “Our life is dominated by the image through its omnipresence. Today, the image is considered as one of the most important aspects of communication as it transmits ideas, motivation or a message.”

He congratulated the students and extended his warm wishes for their career, while reminding them that the most important factor of communication through an image is conveying emotion.

Dr. Vishwajeet Kadam inspired the students with his words as he gave a glimpse of the humble beginnings of Bharati Vidyapeeth as a standalone school in 1965 to its inception as a recognized university in 1996. Appreciating the hard work and the dedication of the faculty of the school, he said, “ Photography has a very emotional connect with people. It is a passion that strikes a chord with every individual and the idea to start this institute was to give a direction to this passion.”
