‘Bhim Sena’ is in present day’s Raavan’s hands

Nowadays, a new brigade known as ‘Bhim Sena’ has emerged in western Uttar Pradesh. This brigade is said to be funded by some prominent Muslim leaders from the area to divide Hindus. This naive sena is playing a game of decisive politics. Earlier, it was always Hindu Vs Muslim politics in India, where in political parties used to get benefit by polarizing Muslim votes and used them as a vote bank. However, recently we have seen the different trends and these political parties too realized that the strategy actually started backfiring them as Hindus voters also started polarising towards one particular party and obviously we are seeing results of it. Hence, these so-called secular parties along with Muslim leaders came up with a new strategy and is trying to divide Hindus according to castes with the help of ‘Bhim Sena’, so everything just settle on caste politics instead of religion. Bhim Sena which emerged from nowhere is just to fight with Hindu upper caste. This new strategy is to divide Hindus in caste as upper and Dalits and polarise Muslims voters to enjoy the ‘satta’.

Chandrashekhar Azad, the so called ‘Bhim Sena’ leader titled himself as ‘Raavan’. These people intentionally keep this type of names to demean Lord Rama, who is worshipped by the majority of people and known as Maryada Purushottam. However, while glorifying Raavan they forget that Raavan was also a Brahmin and highly literate one. Hmm! See the irony of these Anti-Brahmanical forces. Meanwhile, it is worth noticing that those days the human beings was not divided into caste politics, it was always a God vs Demon and Good vs Bad, and Raavan was a king of demons which is chosen by today’s so called Dalit mascots as their lord. They have nothing to do with Dalit welfare, education or rights but only interested in keeping the deprived community to shine their politics. Dalits should actually question their new Messiah the Raavan, what is his contribution towards his own community’s betterment? And how much he earned for himself in the name of “Dalit and Bhimrao”? They have not spared a legend that has shown them a right path to live with self-respect and dignity. If Dalit leaders and politics could really change the fate of Dalits in India, trust me today they wouldn’t have been on roads, protesting against upper caste. Meanwhile, no Dalit wants to be at par on merit basis with others in spite of being given all facilities and reservations. The reason, their political motive will come to an end.

Atrocities against Dalits have given them topic to chew their Vote back sentiments. Why don’t they ever become aggressive or harsh on educating their people about their rights? Why these Dalit leaders for their own advantage get sheltered under BJP like parties? There are many Dalit leaders who are part of BJP/ RSS wings; they laugh at these parties called “Bhim Sena”. The need of the hour is that, Dalit should fight against Dalit leaders and bureaucrats who failed to serve their own community and serving the Brahmanical administration. Their fight should be against those people who sabotaged community. Their fight should be against those leaders who took their votes but could not make much difference to their lives. By misguiding youth and dragging them towards violence is not the solution towards their betterment.

Dalits protested the violent clashes breaking out in Uttar Pradesh for weeks now. Jantar Mantar, Delhi’s designated spot for demonstrators, was awash with blue caps and flags. This impressive show was engineered by the newly prominent Bhim Sena, founded in Saharanpur in 2015. Dalits in Shabbirpur village allege, over dozens of their houses and shops were burned down by Thakurs. The violence, which left one dead and at least 16 seriously injured, was the culmination of months of feuding over the installation of an Ambedkar statue and a memorial procession for Rajput king Maharana Pratap. There has been more violence and the death of a Dalit youth as recently as May 23, in the wake of Bahujan Samaj Party leader Mayawati’s visit to Saharanpur.

In Saharanpur, some Dalit brothers launched a march by spitting and disrespecting Lord Hanuman with slippers…the video has gone viral on Social network, what if in action to reaction some stupid man does same with Baba Saheb? Whom should we blame? The provocateurs or the one who reacted? Who will take the responsibility of these riots? We, irrespective of whosoever, must fight back against those trying to oppress us. However, these frustrated Dalit groups took to the streets, leading to further violence. The innocent Dalit brothers and others have shed their lives in such mob violence but the actual culprits those who organized such things are fuelling such incidences to their advantage.

Bhim Sena has emerged to fill the gap left by the BSP after its crushing defeat in the state elections. It claims to have over 40,000 members. With civic polls approaching, Dalit voters might play a decisive role. Bhim Sena is in the nascent stages of a social movement but its direct action approach is not in sync with need of the times. The Bhim Army is being supported by the Bahujan Samaj Party. BSP national vice-president and Mayawati’s brother Anand Kumar too funds this organisation. Meanwhile, social media is playing key role in instigating Dalits to join the Bhim Sena. Bhim Sena has an official account on the FB site and has given account numbers of SBI and Paytm for donations. It is alleged that, they’re taking donations through personal savings accounts as well. BSP, SP and Congress cannot survive without dividing the society on the basis of caste and religion, because casteism and communalism are oxygen for them. Government must ruthlessly destroy the people fomenting trouble in the country.
