The communal fabric makes festivals interesting

The communal fabric of Mumbai is what makes the city one of its kind in the world as the just concluded Ganesh festivities passed off peacefully with people irrespective of religion participating and enjoying the festival. Expensive gifts are not necessary for the success or failure of any festivities and the upcoming Navratri, Diwali, Christmas must have a different colour to make the festivals exciting for all at a time when inflation and price rise has made life difficult for the poor.

Environment must be the top priority for everyone as it is not the noise but the voice of the people which touches the heart. Greetings and hugs are precious; no amount of money can satisfy. Gift your time to the poor as well as the sick which they value more than your presents. Say no to crackers during festivities and yes to humanity by feeding the needy which makes festivals worth the celebrations.
