KDMC issued work order to M/s Jai hind Road Contractors on 6th November 2009.

On 31 October 2008 Standing Committee sanctioned an expenditure of Rs 10,75,86,000 which was more than 39 per cent of the actual cost of the project i.e. Rs 7,74,00,000 . After that on 29 September 2015, the committee again had given node for extra funds to the tune of Rs 1,98,71,084 thereby escalating its cost to Rs 12,74,57,084. Since Railway Authority only grants permission to carry work outside of railway track hence the project got delayed further.
