Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is the winner in a three cornered contest in most of the place in the State Municipal elections at various centres. As a lieutenant of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Fadnavis has come out of the first stern test in a very successful way and proved that the Maharashtra Chief Minister has all the credentials to become a central minister and thereby established his name and fame in electoral front in a big way. Like former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, Fadnavis won the hearts of the people of every nook and corner of the state in an aggressive campaign which he helmed single-handedly and achieved success in a systematic way. He not only made a mark but also put up a score to match that of the sons of the soil party and thereby establishing the supremacy of BJP after the assembly elections. Kudos to the whole hearted effort of Fadnavis and his party.
The striking differences between BJP and Shiv Sena and the parting ways have all become very common but we have not witnessed anything serious taking place against allegations and counter allegations. Both parties agreed to contest the polls separately and now there is no other option but to join hands with BJP in running BMC successfully without much ado. Sena and BJP are having good relationship and that was revealed the way both Fadnavis and Uddav move with each other in coalition politics. From 31 in 2014 to 82 seats this time, BJP has increased its vote base and it is a significant success. But for Thane BJP had stanglehold in making the party a successful one and keep the party flag flying high.From a distance it is two shades but it is one and the same saffron.
