Celebrations are in order for actress Mindy Kaling as she has recently welcomed her first child, a baby girl.
According to E! Online, she has named her newest entrant in her family as Katherine Kaling. However, the star herself has not yet confirmed the tot’s birth.
The actress’ pregnancy news first broke in July, but it wasn’t confirmed until a very famous friend of the star spilled the beans – Oprah Winfrey.
Mindy announced her pregnancy back in August this year, and stated in October that she was “having a great time” being pregnant, as she had begun to realise she took a lot of things for granted before her stomach started to swell.
In November, Kaling shared the first photo of her baby bump on Instagram to celebrate her last recording session for the sixth and final season of ‘The Mindy Project’.
The star also previously admitted to feeling ”anxious” about entering motherhood.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Mindy will be next seen in ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ alongside Oprah Winfrey and ‘Oceans 8’ alongside Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway and Sandra Bullock.
