BJP contended that the situation in Panchkula was brought under control within three hours of the incident. It is a matter of great shame that the state is involved in defending the action rather than condemning about the number of deaths that took place in the incident. It was a political surrender before Dera to allure vote bank politics and that led to the violence. Instead of accepting the blame and taking steps to avoid such incidents after quantum of punishment is revealed, the state government is trying to play hide and seek game.
