Pakistan played better and, obviously, they won. We should not underestimate the opponent. Kohli won the toss and needlessly sent in Pakistan to bat because he fancied himself as the best chaser.
I have always advocated that we must play bilateral series with Pakistan.
Television channels have been indulging in indecent propaganda. They should refrain from using words raund dalo, kutchal dalo on television. Anchors must be trained for using better vocabulary. News channels are mostly propagandists. Fakhr Zamam played a very good innings and fast bowlers Hasan Ali and Mohammed Amir bowled beautifully. India committed a mistake of not playing Mohammad Shami. Our government must be criticised for not taking any steps to improve spoken Hindi and English on television. We take pride in trying to speak Sanskrit but first improve Hindi. I will request the government to urgently take up this matter.
“Baukhlahat” is not a Sanskrit word then why it is extensively used on television. India must prepare good pitches, nurture young fast bowlers and provide them adequate training. Let us start preparing for the next edition of the World cup. Selectors will choose the best team so I will not intervene on that but players fitness is vital.
India Hockey team has brought laurels for the country. Dhyanchand and K D Singh Babu and others like Claudius have been natural players despite receiving no support from the government. Football and Hockey must also be given equal importance and we must not excessively harp on Yoga. It was practised in India even before I and Modiji was born.
