Does India not have enough Army personnel across the border?

Did you experience the pain after the death of Indian soldiers? A lot of Indians were hurt as they felt bad. Many felt angry. Many of them abused Pakistan. Many asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi about his 56″ chest. Many wanted India to give a befitting reply to Pakistan. Why did soldiers die? Who or what killed them? Bullets of terrorists or the flawed policy of India, or the proxy war of Pakistan, or bad training, or lack of proper equipment’s?

A day after Pakistan Army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the Line of Control and accused India of “state-sponsored” terrorism in Kashmir, the bodies of two Indian soldiers were mutilated by the Pakistan Army along the LoC in the Krishna Ghati sector of Jammu and Kashmir. There is outrage and pain but still who will act? Since BJP has come to power more than 300 jawans were killed on the border. The condition of Army is very much pathetic. BJP always baked votes on their name but nothing action has been taken. In retribution, the Indian Army pounded Pakistan Army posts along the LoC. In the meantime, Pakistan claimed that it neither committed any ceasefire violations nor mutilated Indian soldiers.

The Northern Command called it a “despicable act” and promised appropriate action. Union Defence Minister the most inefficient Arun Jaitley just verbally condemned the act saying that the bodies of soldiers being mutilated is an extreme form of barbaric act. BJP leaders are yet to come out of their “Kandi ninda” Jumla. We have lost 25 CRPF Jawans inside and are regularly loosing valuable jawans lives on border…. failing to understand our defence strategy. Counter-infiltration posture in Jammu and Kashmir has been beefed up after the incident but so far no results are visible. Sometimes I feel that India is a hopeless and helpless country. Indians can only publish good comments in media but no action is visible on the border. Indians are always defensive in nature. God knows when we will gain courage to attack enemy. If the same thing happens with US or Chinese or Israeli soldiers, by now Pakistan would have been removed from the world map.

Army should have full privacy and secrecy over its actions and plans; BJP has turned everything in to a big drama even surgical strike was well published and used during elections. According to data, in the new wave of attacks, militants are able to inflict many more casualties on security forces with each attack than in the past. Data shows that while the total number of violent incidents in Kashmir has only gone up marginally from previous years, the number of security personnel killed or injured has dramatically risen. In 2007, security forces lost 122 men. The numbers dropped to 57 in 2008, and by 2012, it fell to 15. It then began to climb. In 2013, 53 security personnel were killed. From 2014 to 2017 almost more than 300 army men were killed. Similar trend is visible in the number of security personnel injured in Jammu and Kashmir.

When an American soldier dies, it becomes world news because it is very hard to kill him. Not only they are trained very well, they also possess the best of the equipments and the best gadgets. America does care about their soldiers more than we do. Does it ever make you wonder why the circumstances in which an Indian soldier dies are never made public? We just get to hear that a bullet killed him. How could a bullet reach him in the first place? And a bullet reaching a Lt Colonel is actually a failure at many levels. Did we ever care to understand what really happened? There was a definite failure in investigation.

We have failed to provide them good food, clothes and better mental health. Our government has failed on various levels. Remember the videos of Tej Bahadur Yadav and many more jawans had recently gone viral. They are fed-up and seek help but our government turned a blind eye towards them. Why cry only for those who died? How about caring for those who, at this very moment are alive and serving the nation? How about caring for those who got maimed in combat? How about caring for those who lived and served the nation but are now veterans?

A soldier doesn’t care for awards or glories or what his countrymen think about him. All he knows that he has got a job to do and he has to do it at any cost, even it means making the supreme sacrifice. But that doesn’t absolve us of our responsibilities towards them. Army officers martyred and mutilated, their children lost their father and what was the Defence Minister doing? He is just issuing statements and asking people to trust army, but he should know that we have faith in the army but not this government and its leaders. Most appalling is the silence of Prime minister of this country. He is happily touring everywhere but has not said a single word on the recent attack.
