India should sever ties with Pakistan

The dastardly attack on the CRPF convoy in Pampore sector of Jammu & Kashmir by the Pakistan-sponsored terrorists claimed lives of eight CRPF jawans injuring 22 others. After every such militant attack and killing of poor civilians and security men, our Prime Minister only utters the usual words and shows his anguish by repeating what had been said several times before. Like an imposition thrust upon a student, our P.M (& other ministers too) keeps repeating “We will not get cowed down by terrorism….we will deal with terrorism with tough action…culprits will be awarded severe punishments…. our patience should not be tested……” and so on and so forth!

India cannot anymore afford to allow these rampant cross border infiltration and attacks sponsored by our neighbours. Merely issuing a cliché statement of expressing sorrow, sympathy and condemning such brutal attacks is not fetching anything good to us. The defence analysts should put together their brains to analyse the loopholes and lacunas in our “border safeguarding measures”. The border protection forces and processes should be augmented further. India should become more vociferous in exposing the alien forces constantly violating the international norms for peace between the neighbouring countries. The Pathankot tragedy is still fresh in our minds. The Modi government should seek proactive measures to ensure that these problems are put to rest forever – even at the cost of so-far-maintained self restraints and control. Sometimes we have to be more aggressive and firm footed in our actions, to send a strong global message. This issue should be dealt with high priority instead of issuing the mundane, transcriptions by the government condemning such callous acts.

We have to initiate an internal defence and security audits to identify, seize and annihilate the support extended by certain sections of our society who harbingers, nurtures, supports and promote anti-national activities. How so many terrorists manage to enter our land with ammunitions so frequently?  It’s high time the borders with terror sponsoring nation, are sealed and infiltration of terrorists and other anti-national elements are completely stopped by all means. The army and the border security forces should be given total authority to kill the infiltrators.

Why not isolate Pak from this day and sever all ties with them. When will our government have the courage to isolate Pakistan! No diplomatic relations, no cultural and bilateral relations, no commerce and trade, no transport and no sports too. Hit where it hurts. Cripple Pakistan economically and stop the so called talks for peace forever (let us not bother what the US or UN will say or dictate!). Just see how the Pakistani High Commissioner in India was least concerned on the terror attack day but was more happy to celebrate the Iftaar party the same day! He thus exposed his country’s contempt and hatred towards India!

In the name of “peace talks”, all we have witnessed is the visit of Pakistani PM, certain dignitaries and officials, photo-ops with Indian officials, then a visit to the Taj Mahal and photographs therein. In all such meetings the decisions taken are only to have another round of meetings and talks at a later date; and this has been going on for several decades. And in the meanwhile, there is only large scale engineering of terrorism and ceasefire violations across the borders.

I would also wish to ask how long we are going to refer to “IT” as Pakistan occupied Kashmir? Are our politicians and leaders not ashamed to see our territory being referred to as “Pak Occupied.” Why can’t we take up this matter at the international level and regain this territory and make it an integral part of Jammu & Kashmir, for once and for all? No doubt war is not the solution but at least let the government have courage to take tough actions?

Hope our Prime Minister Narendra Modi will indeed teach a tough lesson to Pakistan. He should call off all bilateral talks with them. High time our government showed its “true action” ! Meanwhile, it’s time for all our leaders, countrymen, and the opposition leaders to remain firmly united and not indulge in politics.
