Dhadak movie actor Janhvi Kapoor will start the shooting of the Hindi adaptation of the Tamil film, Kolamaavu Kokila, said a source close to the development. As per report, the gorgeous actor will fly to Punjab for the film which will be shot over 45 days in a (bio) bubble. The Hindi remake of Kolamaavu Kokila is yet to be titled.
The latest reports also suggest that the shooting of the film will starts from January 9. The Hindi adaptation will not exact same of the original. The original film starred South superstar Nayanthara in the lead which will now be reprised by Janhvi.
The Hindin remake Kolamaavu Kokila will helmed by Siddharth Sengupta. In the film late actress Sridevi’s daughter will be seen playing the role of a simple North Indian girl from middle-class family. Her character will be donning minimal makeup and wearing salwar-kurtas . According to sources there are a few action sequences in the film and for which Janhvi has been prepping.
Kolamaavu Kokila is the Tamil film that released in 2018. The film was written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The movie had opened to positive response and had also become a commercial success.
Meanwhile, on the work front Janhvvi has some interesting projects in her kitty like Karan Johar’s “Takht”, then the horror comedy Roohi Afzana and Dostana 2.
