On the eve of Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation elections last year Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had announced a package of 6500 crores for the development of the twin cities. But till today, not even a single rupee has come for the development of KDMC, quips Anil Galgali who had filed an RTI in this regard with the Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC).

Anil galgaliIn a RTI filed with the KDMC and the Chief Minister’s office (CMO), RTI Activist Anil Galgali had sought details of Rs 6500 cr package announced by the government. The CMO very conveniently forwarded the RTI application to the Urban Development Department and they forwarded it to the MMRDA, shedding off responsibility to provide information. Account Officer and Public Information officer (PIO) of the KDMC, Vinay Kulkarni in his reply, said no such funds have been received till date from the Government.

“The Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should stick to his promises. He had promised the people of Kalyan Dombivali of development. But if the CM fails to adhere this, it will tarnish the image amongst the people and they will feel neglected,” said Anil Galgali.
