Senior BJP leader Vinay Katiyar’s sexist remark against Priyanka Gandhi indeed was sad and shocking. In a land that has seen the likes of Sarojini Naidu, Indira Gandhi, Saina Nehwal, PV Sandhu, Kalpana Chawla and their tribe who have all done India proud by their deeds, Katiyar’s indecent remarks against the fair sex must be condemned by all. Frustration of politicians is clearly visible to the fact that women today are no less than their counterparts which is the reason for such abusive remarks from men against women time and again.
Priyanka Gandhi should ignore such remarks and let her work find her feet in politics. Being beautiful is not a crime and least Vinay Katiyar can do is to apologize. Prime Minister Narendra Modi too should reprimand his party colleague and see to it that such things are not repeated in future. Women deserve utmost respect as they are the reason why there is existence of the human race in the world and let us all respect them for their real worth!
