Nirmal Lifestyles has been synonym to health, fitness and sports and has associated with the 13th edition of the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon yet again this year. This year they are set to beat their own record with participation of as many as 600 stakeholders including the Chairman, Employees, Customers and Stakeholders. They will have participation across the full marathon, half marathon, and the Dream Run of 6 km. They will also have an innovative motivation kiosk organized at the venue for the participants and attendees.

LifestyleNirmal has been raising funds for ‘Anybody Can Jump’ initiative of the Care Foundation for the last two years through this Marathon. Anybody Can Jump works towards uplifting and supporting various lesser privileged parts of society. This initiative has also launched their first ever nationwide campaign aimed to change the way India thinks about fitness and inspire to become a healthier nation.  They created a storm in the Marathon in the previous year, as the Chairman Dharmesh Jain was one of the highest fund-raising individual with a whopping figure of 83 lakhs and is all geared up to break his own record.

Dharmesh Jain, Chairman, Nirmal Lifestyles stated, “Today’s urban lifestyle leaves little time for focusing on fitness and health. While Live Active is the Philosophy of the company, Fitness has become the DNA of the organization. All our employees are urged and fully supported to lead an active lifestyle where fitness is of core importance. The company has engaged professionals not only with diet consultation but also with physical training 2-3 times a week, within the   working hours of the day, where all employees are encouraged to take to a fitness regime. Two of Nirmal’s employees were fully sponsored to run the New York Marathon this year and they have successfully completed the NYC Marathon.”

Nirmal’s Mark for Sports initiative is another extension to the same. It focuses on making diverse types of sports as part of children lives. The core belief about this initiative is that if schools more importantly different board of institutions should include sports as part of main curriculum.
